Fair Wear and Tear policy
At Kendall Cars we understand that customers can be concerned about damage charges when returning a vehicle. This is why we have introduced our Fair Wear & Tear Policy to make it fair when recording vehicle damage and to reassure our clients when renting from us. On return of the vehicle if any of the below damage is detected you will be contact by a member of our staff to discuss this in further detail and what charges may apply.
Internal Damage
Any missing, ripped, cracked or holed ply lining.
Any holes, rips, burns or tear, regardless of size.
Any spills or stains.
Any missing or damaged interior parts.
External Damage
Any dent or scrape exceeding 50mm.
Any holes or tears.
Any scratch through paintwork.
Any shallow scratch that exceeds 50mm.
Any missing, scuff or scratch damage to plastic trims that can not be cleaned away.
Bumper Damage
Scuffs and dents that exceed 50mm.
Any holes and tears, regardless of size.
Any misalignment.
Wheels and Wing Mirror Damage
Any missing or damaged hub caps that cannot be cleaned away.
Alloy wheel or wing mirrors with any damage that cannot be cleaned away.
All of our yard staff have a damage tool that they use when assessing vehicles and will only apply damage to a vehicle inspection sheet that is not covered by our policy. They will be happy to discuss this with you on collection of your vehicle.
Please remember that if any damage is caused to the vehicle while on hire to you it must be reported to our 24hr incident line on 0333 207 9654 within 24 hours of the incident.
