Share your DVLA Licence Details

Since 2015 the paper counterpart to the photocard driving licence is no longer valid, instead ALL penalty points and driving entitlements of both photocard and paper licence holders will be recorded online with the DVLA.

As Photocard licences don’t provide information on penalty points or convictions – which we will need to check for insurance – each driver will need to do one of the following before being able to drive with us:

  • Print a summary of your licence information at DVLA online – you’ll need your driving licence number, national insurance number and home address postcode.
  • Get a licence check code from DVLA online so we can check your driving record in the office. This code lasts for 21 days and can only be used once
  • Or lastly the costly option where we call the DVLA number at the office when collecting the vehicle at a cost of £5.00 per call. This phone line is only open 8am to 6pm Mon – Fri and Sat morning.
