Hirers receive 100 free miles per day – after which the mileage charge is 15p +VAT per mile.

All our hires run from 8am to 8am GMT unless different times are arranged when booking.

To drive this vehicle you need to be over the age of 25 and have held a full licence and driven regularly for the last 3 years. For those with a UK licence, you will need to have the driving license along with your DVLA licence check code (to complete an online licence check), your Credit/Debit card and 2x utility bills as proof of address.

Traveling abroad?  We can ONLY cover vehicles that are used in the UK with our breakdown assistance. Vehicles taken abroad MUST arrange FULL breakdown cover with either the AA, RAC or Greenflag. Cover must provide roadside assistance, recovery back to the UK and provide a suitable replacement vehicle to continue your journey. Additional rental insurance must also be added along with our permission to take the vehicle overseas. Failure to do so may cause the vehicle to be stopped, impounded, seized and additional costs added. Please call your local branch to arrange and have a quote provided.

There is a small extra cost for any additional drivers of £4.50 per driver per day if required.

We endeavor to provide all our customers with the vehicle they request; unfortunately we cannot guarantee a particular model or every  specification.

Included in the price

  • VAT (Tax)

    All prices quoted include value added tax (VAT) at 20%.

    VAT registered business can claim this VAT amount back from HMRC and full VAT receipts are supplied as part of the rental agreement contract provided upon collection.

  • Basic Insurance

    Basic insurance cover is included in the quotations and arranged for you with a trusted third party insurer.

    The hirer is always responsible for up to their excess amount for any damage unless covered by CDW (Collision Damage Waiver). We require all drivers to fill out a form upon pickup and show their full driver’s licence and 2x additional proofs of address. There is a small extra cost for any additional drivers of £4.50 per driver per day if required. The only things not covered by the insurance is anything that comes down to negligence i.e. interior, tyre damage, overhead/roof damage, etc. Failure to abide by the terms and conditions of each hire may revoke the insurance cover and thus make the hirer fully liable.   • Full UK Breakdown Cover

    For your peace of mind, Kendall Cars provide a 24-hour emergency telephone service through Active Fleet Solutions who use the RAC for roadside assistance 0844 800 1980. This breakdown cover is exclusive to the UK and the insured drivers only. Driver induced faults are not covered by our breakdown insurance and therefore are chargeable by the RAC/AFS or through Kendall Cars. These include, but are not limited

  • Low Cost Additional Drivers

    There is a small extra cost for any additional drivers of £4.50 per driver per day if required. Every driver must complete a proposal form and produce their licence in the office to be added to our insurance policy.

     

Not included in the price

  • Fuel

    We do not have fuel pumps on site or the capability to refill before every hire, therefore customers are expected to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel in the tank as when the vehicle was first picked up. eg if the vehicle is picked up and has half a tank of fuel, then it is to be returned with half a tank or the hirer will be charged. A note of the fuel type is marked on the hire contract and on each vehicles fuel cap. Any costs associated with using the wrong fuel is not covered by the insurance.

  • London Congestion Charge

    The hirer is responsible for paying the daily Congestion Charge fee when they travel into the Congestion Zone. It should be paid on the day you enter the Congestion Charging zone, however, you do have until midnight the next working day to pay (although it is a slightly higher charge if not paid on the day). You can pay via the internet www.tfl.gov.uk or by phone 0333 200 1000. Please ensure you enter the correct registration number (check the make and model listed is the same as the one on your rental agreement).  Please record and keep the receipt details.

    For details of the area covered by the zone please consult the Transport for London website and when driving look out for signs saying you are entering the Congestion Charging and a large white ‘C’ painted on the road.

    Failure to pay the congestion charge will result in Kendalls having to complete paperwork on your behalf, which therefore results in an admin fee to cover costs. Minimum charge is £25.00

  • Insurance Excess

    You are covered for the cost of repairing or replacing the vehicle (or parts of it) if it gets damaged or stolen, however, please be aware you will have to pay a fixed amount towards the replacement cost. This is known as the insurance excess or deposit.

    Excess amounts vary by branch and vehicle and should be checked at the time of booking. Alternatively, contact your local branch for full details.

  • Non-UK Mainland Hires

    All quotes provided are for use on the UK Mainland only. If you require the vehicle to be taken to the continent or off the UK mainland you will need to contact your preferred pickup branch directly to organise a continental hire agreement and request a quote.

  • CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)

    CDW is not included with the online quote. However it can be added when booking online or in the office upon collection. Bookings quoted over the phone will have CDW added automatically for peace of mind and to speed up quotes, but can be removed if not required.
